Another body find in river in North

The body of a man, who is yet to be identified, was found in Batiri River, Macuata Province yesterday afternoon.

Police spokespers­on Ana Naisoro confirmed the discovery was made around 2:35pm.

“It is believed the deceased may be in his 50s.”

She said the investigat­ion was continuing.

This is the second incident within a week where a body has been found in a river in Macuata Province.

On Monday, a two-year-old’s body was found floating in Nakama River. Meanwhile, in Rakiraki Police are continuing their search for a six-year-old child who went missing while he was swimming with other children late yesterday afternoon.
