An­other body find in river in North

The body of a man, who is yet to be iden­ti­fied, was found in Batiri River, Macu­ata Prov­ince yes­ter­day af­ter­noon.

Po­lice spokesper­son Ana Naisoro con­firmed the dis­cov­ery was made around 2:35pm.

“It is be­lieved the de­ceased may be in his 50s.”

She said the in­ves­ti­ga­tion was con­tin­u­ing.

This is the sec­ond in­ci­dent within a week where a body has been found in a river in Macu­ata Prov­ince.

On Mon­day, a two-year-old’s body was found float­ing in Nakama River. Mean­while, in Raki­raki Po­lice are con­tin­u­ing their search for a six-year-old child who went miss­ing while he was swim­ming with other chil­dren late yes­ter­day af­ter­noon.
