■The COVID-19 pan­demic is new for ev­ery­one and ev­ery day is a learn­ing ex­pe­ri­ence when it comes to pa­tient pur­chas­ing be­hav­iour, stock con­trol and or­der­ing, keep­ing within phar­macy bud­get, mak­ing the most of lo­cal re­sources such as hand san­i­tizer, face mask when stocks are di­verted to more needy coun­tries;

■Dur­ing this time it is en­cour­ag­ing to see ma­jor­ity peo­ple heed of ad­vice from au­thor­i­ties and prac­tis­ing proper hy­giene, how­ever, there are times when they have to re­minded be­cause this sit­u­a­tion is some­thing we are not used to;

■It is also a good time to pur­chase lo­cally pro­duced hand san­i­tiz­ers and masks of good qual­ity to sup­port our lo­cal busi­nesses which are suf­fer­ing dur­ing this time;

■We also en­cour­age our pa­tients to buy lo­cally pro­duced fruits and veg­eta­bles as well as plant their own to make use of their free time/save money/gar­den­ing helps re­duce blood pres­sure etc;

■We are try­ing to deal with this sit­u­a­tion in a holis­tic way to en­sure pa­tients are med­i­cal, emo­tional.

And men­tal well-be­ing is en­sured.
