Princess Civa back in the water
The MV Princess Civa will be de-slipped today, ready for a new chapter. The Tokelau Shipping Company owned inter-island vessel has been out of the Fiji waters the last 12 months.
Company spokesperson Mokunituolevu said the
Isireli vessel was up at the Fiji Ships and Heavy Industries Limited (FSHIL) slipway for one year. Mr Mokunituolevu said it was a relief that their vessel was finally done up with the completion of repair and maintenance works. “Our business was affected when Princess Civa was up on the slipway,” Mr Mokunituolevu said.
He did not disclose the total cost of repair works.
According to Mr Mokunituolevu they would await clearance from the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji (MSAF) before they could resume operation.
MV Princess Civa does franchise runs in the Eastern division including the Lau Group.
