Deluxe self-contained villas have become a hit for The Crow’s Nest Resort during this COVID-19 pandemic. These are interconnecting villas available at the resort which feature kitchen facilities.

General manager Shivnesh Chetty said guests are opting for these villas as it avoids outside interaction thus limiting the risks.

The Crow’s Nest Resort is located on the sunset strip of Korotogo in the heart of the Coral Coast.

Deluxe self-contained villas are on a discount rate of $180 per night for a family of four.

Discount rates

Mr Chetty said with no overseas visitor arrivals, The Crow’s Nest is now targeting the local market with discount rates.

“Initially our target market was Australia, New Zealand, Europe and other Asian countries.

“Over the last three months we have been getting support from the local market which has kept us going. “We have endeavored to ensure that our 27 employees are given the opportunity to work on a rotational basis.

“The resort is even prepared to negotiate on a case by case basis for the suitability of our guests,” he said.

Preacutionary measure

Following the Government’s advice on precautionary measures, The Crow’s Nest has prohibited all noncompliant activities.

Mr Chetty said the resort was honoured to host the surgical team from the Sigatoka Hospital that had stayed at the resort for two months.

“We have also welcomed a few walk-ins during the weekend as we have no international guests, we only have 38 local guests at the resort.

The Crow’s Nest hopes to regain its event bookings when business normalises.

Mr Chetty said the resort maintains communications with stakeholders for new rates and booking policies.
