ajendra Kumar and his workmates always have a cup of tea before their day starts.

“As soon as we reach the office we will have to go to the tea room, and prepare tea for everyone,” Mr Kumar said. “Having tea is something we always do every day before work,” he said.

Mr Kumar, 62, has been working for the Central Pharmacy in Suva for 40 years.

He was at Morris Hedstrom at MHCC Suva yesterday shopping.

The father of two said even his two children who were both married loved drinking tea when they were small.

“For my family, our favourite tea is Royal Tea, because it has a different kind of taste,” he said.

“We love to have Royal Tea with biscuits. These are two items that are always in our pantry”

His 90 year-old mother Sumindra Wati who lives in California, America can’t live without tea.

“My mother has to drink tea every day. She will always complain if she doesn’t drink tea in a day. Drinking tea sort of energizes her,” he said.

“She would complain if she doesn’t drink tea in the morning, lunch and afternoon.

“Many of my friends pack their tea in a bottle and bring it work or to their farm. The taste of Royal Tea is something people are after.”
