RABUKA IN NORTH WITH MEMBERS OF SUSPENDED PARTY
Social Democratic Liberal Party (in suspension) leader, Sitiveni Rabuka is currently in the Northern Division with some members.
They have been visiting villages, settlements and individuals since Monday. Mr Rabuka and Salote Radrodro met suspended party members at the Bua Consistency Council.
Among the 21 members, one of them said Mr Rabuka was meeting their supporters to collect signatures.
The Registrar of Political Parties suspended SODELPA for breach of the Political Parties Act on May 26.
Other suspended SODELPA members including Mosese Bulitavu were also in the North, in Macuata.
Last weekend, Mr Rabuka attended the Tailevu North constituency council meeting.
Adi Litia Qionibaravi confirmed that Mr Rabuka spoke to the delegates on the importance of their role in the suspended party.
Twenty-eight constituency councils are expected to meet over the next week before the suspended political party holds its management board meeting on June 20.
The suspended party has until July 27 to get things right - as required by the Registrar of Political Parties.
