Golden Point Resort, another Suncoast special
Golden Point Resort is located in the northern part of Viti Levu, known as the Suncoast.
It is on the water’s edge at Nacilau Point, between Tavua and Rakiraki on the Kings Highway.
Though operating with skeletal staff, Golden Point Resort it’s business as normal.
Owner and manager Rachelle Mishra said their weekends were all booked out.
“During these time we are doing well and have been stable.
“Though I have skeletal staff, that has been good enough to cater for our guests.”
Local guests
Ms Mishra said they have had a lot of locals visit the resort especially on the weekends.
“We are busy during the weekends with locals responding to our specials.
“We offer activities such as dolphin watching at $65 pp and $45 for children.”
Specials
Room rates are as low as $100 for two and family rooms from $150. She said she was very grateful to the locals who have supported locally owned businesses.
There have been upgrades and refurbishments around the resort.
Marina
The marina project which is said to cater for more than 20 boats is on hold at the moment.
Ms Mishra said not much was happening and they wanted things to pick up first before they continued on the marina.
Marina location
It is located on Nacilau Point, six meteres deep, just outside Golden Point Resort.
The point is ideal as it is close to the outer islands like the Yasawa Islands and Vanua Levu.
“We have had yachties come stay with us or park outside our point.
“There has been a lot of interest and support from them encouraging us to hurry with the marina.
“Pleae take advantage of the special rates we have every week. “Come see us at the Suncoast and we will make a memorable one.”
