The High Court in Suva has given time to the lawyers in­volved in the case of a 24-year-old Cana­dian on drug charge to com­plete pre-trial is­sues.

Joshua Aziz Rah­man ap­peared be­fore judge Jus­tice Daniel Goundar on Mon­day charged with one count of un­law­ful pos­ses­sion of il­licit drugs. It is al­leged that on Fe­bru­ary 14, 2019, in his res­i­dence in Caubati, Nas­inu, Rah­man was found in pos­ses­sion of 39.5 kilo­grams of co­caine worth more than $30 mil­lion.

The mat­ter was ad­journed to Au­gust 28.
