Lawyers given time to complete pre-trial issues in drug case
The High Court in Suva has given time to the lawyers involved in the case of a 24-year-old Canadian on drug charge to complete pre-trial issues.
Joshua Aziz Rahman appeared before judge Justice Daniel Goundar on Monday charged with one count of unlawful possession of illicit drugs. It is alleged that on February 14, 2019, in his residence in Caubati, Nasinu, Rahman was found in possession of 39.5 kilograms of cocaine worth more than $30 million.
The matter was adjourned to August 28.
