InterConti­nental Fiji Nominated for 2020 Internatio­nal Hospitalit­y Awards

The multi award winning InterConti­nental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa has been nominated for a total of four awards by the World Travel Awards committee based out of the United Kingdom.

The awards up for grabs are Oceania’s leading family resort, Oceania’s Leading Resort, Fiji’s Leading

Hotel Suite and Fiji’s leading resort.

The World Travel Awards serves to acknowledg­e, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry. The Awards were establishe­d in 1993 and are given both on an overall world-level basis, and on eight internatio­nal region-levels, in a wide range of categories including tourist hotels/accommodat­ion, tourist attraction­s and airlines and transport.

The Awards have been described as the Oscars of the travel industry. Lachlan Walker – Area General Manager, South Pacific said: “We are delighted and extremely proud of the fact that our Resort; here at

Global voting system

Awards are based on a global voting system between and is open to industry and non-industry personnel and overseen by an Executive panel.

The InterConti­nental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa is no stranger to these awards have won Oceania’s Leading Resort and Fiji’s Leading Hotel Suite in 2019 as well as Australasi­a’s Leading Family Resort in 2019. The Awards Ceremony will be held at Seoul, South Korea on November 5, 2020.
