Mobile app for consumer complaints launched
Keep up to date of the latest consumer trends and continue to make informed decisions for yourselves
The Consumer Council of Fiji has launched the new Consumer Council of Fiji mobile application and complaints management system yesterday.
This new consumer’s application will enhance a ability to lodge complaints and keep track of actions taken by the council on their complaints.
Minister for Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport Faiyaz Koya said the app introduced a simple and traceable way of lodging a complaint, in a realtime situation, giving consumers the assurance that the council had received their grievances and would offer consistent support and resolution.
He said the newly-developed Complaints Management System would relinquish the manual process of complaints management and streamline customer service management and solve complex issues in a prompt and professional manner.
He encouraged Fijians to take advantage of the app.
“Keep up to date of the latest consumer trends and continue to make informed decisions for yourselves,” he said. Consumer Council of Fiji chief executive officer Seema Shandil said the traditional complaint management systems were disconnected, inefficient and contributed to response delays.
The United Nations Capital Development Fund and the Pacific Financial Inclusion Programme partnership donated $77,000 for the development of the Complaints Management System.
The app is available on Play Store and iTunes.
