Players hail pandemic, cyclone assistance

Lautoka and national football rep, Sekove Finau was overwhelme­d to be among the players that received COVID-19/ Cyclone Harold assistance from the Fiji Football Associatio­n yesterday.

The 23-year-old has been involved in top flight football since he was 18 years of age. “I am thankful to Fiji FA for support us players during this hard time,” he said.

The Wailotua, Wainibuka, Tailevu native thanked Fiji FA, Oceania Football Confederat­ion (OFC) and Fédération Internatio­nale de Football Associatio­n (FIFA) for putting this up during these trying times.

“The insight of the three organisati­on needs to be commended and this goes on for the betterment of the sports,” he said.

Lautoka centre link Arami Manumanuba­i also shared similar sentiment indicating that Fiji FA has taken the lead among other sports in the country.

In Lautoka, 24 players, four volunteers, one coach and six referees received their packs ranging from $75 moderate, $125 medium and $180 high risks.
