Battle of the Giants excitement

The much awaited Battle of the Giants begins this week and all soccer lovers will congregate at Lautoka’s Churchill Park to witness and support their district teams. There will be lot of hustle and bustle in the Sugar City and of course the excitement and electrifying atmosphere will prevail in the ground.

Rewa team captain Setareki Hughes said they prefer to head into the tournament with low profile despite leading the VPL points. Rewa has done wonders in the BOG for the past years and are looking forward to win the tittle this year!

Ba on the other hand, is a respectable team and are one of the oldest teams with record wins and they always prove dangerous with surprise attacks, putting the opponents in dilemma.

Besides, Lautoka will come out firing, being the home team and will very much depend on their home crowd to boost their performance. No matter who wins, there should exist the much respect, honour and comradeship among players, spectators and officials.

We have to remember that we are in the midst of the crisis (COVID 19) and precautionary measures needs to be strictly followed to safeguard not only ourselves but our society and nation at large!
