The Tui Macu­ata Ratu Wil­iame Ka­toni­vere launched the Macu­ata Provin­cial Coun­cil’s of­fi­cial web­site in Labasa yes­ter­day.

Dur­ing the launch at the Macu­ata Provin­cial Coun­cil of­fice, he said: “There will be some good and neg­a­tive chal­lenges that the team will have to look into it.

“I hope you will share in­for­ma­tion with the world that will bring about de­vel­op­ment and change in the mind­sets of those sons and daugh­ters of Macu­ata abroad.

“Also, I hope that through this web­site vi­sion, in­spi­ra­tions and plans can be shared.”

Macu­ata Provin­cial Coun­cil con­ser­va­tion of­fi­cer Make­lesi Raciri said an Aus­tralian vol­un­teer, Scott Sheri­dan, spent one year with them all as­sisted in set­ting up the web­site.

“This in­cluded col­lect­ing in­for­ma­tion from the ground and con­duct­ing vil­lage pro­fil­ing ex­er­cise,” Ms

Raciri said.
