Tint Your Vehicles For Your Safety

- LUSIANA TUIMAISALA Feedback: lusiana.tuimaisala@fijisun. com.fj

Tinting your car means protecting yourself, passengers, and your car’s interior from the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) rays

These ultraviolet rays are the main causes of damage to the skin from the sun.

Tint Factory is the new and innovative tinting company, based in Walu Bay, Suva, and another workshop at Westfield, Nadi.

Since its inception in 2013, Tint Factory has been upgrading about 200 cars every month in both their workshops before the pandemic. COVID-19 has resulted in the drop of customers bringing in their cars to the workshops.

The company has overseas standard workshops to provide the best quality of service.

Company managing director, Nooraz Ali, with 15 years of experience in the business said driving with tinted windows is safer than driving with windows that are not tinted.

“Window tint significantly reduces glare in your car, so the sun won’t block your view while driving and cause an accident,” Mr Ali said.

He said even in the case of an accident, tinted windows protected you from getting injured with loose shards of glass.

Land Transport Authority (LTA) regulation for tinted cars is front doors 70 per cent and rear windows 60 per cent. Standard tint is 70 per cent and this is the maximum authorised by LTA. Mr Ali said customers don’t have to pay fee to LTA. “We are accredited by LTA to install LTA approved window tints with LTA approved stickers on each doors.” The warranty for tinted vehicle is 10 years, he said.

Customers

“We do have fixed customers and that includes: Asco, Shreedhar, Vision Motors, Palas Auto, Kia Motors,

Car City, Niranjans,” he said. “It takes 15 minutes to tint a car.

“We are the most experienced tinted company in Fiji and qualified installer. We got a team of eight employees.”

Plans

Mr Ali said he was planning to open a workshop in Labasa to cater for their customers in Vanua Levu. “Many of our customers bring their cars by boat to Suva to be tinted and then return to Vanua Levu. This will save them cost once we set up our Labasa workshop.”

“The film used to tint flat glass and vehicles are manufactured in the United State of America which has warranty against fading, peeling, cracking, adhesive, failure and delamination,” he said.

“Our warehouse is in Australia. We don’t have any problem with our shipment as we get our shipment every three months.”
