Nanuku Auberge Resort Offers Special Rates For Locals
Nestled not far from Suva is the luxurious Nanuku Auberge Resort. It was closed for about two and half months after COVID-19 hit earlier this year to focus on maintenance and refreshing of its property.
Nanuku Auberge Resort general manager Logan Miller said they have had to work on some major landscaping projects around the property as well as rethatching roofs and freshly painting all the villas.
Recently reopened, it is now offering fantastic Love Our Locals special rates taking into account the new budget pricing.
The all-villa boutique resort at Pacific Harbour includes 37 incredibly spacious suites, villas and residences. It recently won three 2020 TripAdvisor awards.
Mr Miller said: “We have been very fortunate to be the recent recipient of three of the 2020 TripAdvisor Best of the Best awards in the following categories:
Service - South Pacific
Boutique Luxury - World
Luxury - South Pacific
Operations at the hotel
They have close to 120 team members currently working at the resort.
Mr Miller said: “It’s been nice to see the team coming together and learning new skills at the same time.
“We have bartenders in security, chefs cleaning pools and the spa team working in landscaping.
“Everyone is learning to appreciate each other’s roles and we are able to keep our team busy and property looking great during the slower periods.”
Going local:
Mr Miller said they have seen great interest and a really positive response to the Love Our Locals campaign.
“We have fantastic love our local’s special taking into account the new budget pricing - $495 per night including taxes and breakfast for two adults and two children (under 14).
“If you book two nights you save $100 ($890 for two nights).
“It’s been really nice seeing the local market respond to the love our locals campaign.
“It is fantastic to have guests back in the resort again and to see the team’s smiling faces as they do what they do best in looking after our guests.”

“In terms of international guest bookings, he added: “We’ve been very fortunate that the predominant response from those who cannot travel to Fiji because of the border restrictions have chosen to push their reservations into next year rather than cancel booking.
“This showed the confidence that the international market has in Fiji and that they all want to return to travelling as soon as it is safe to do so.”
In terms of future plans, he said they would continue focusing on the domestic market.
“As we continue on the path of focusing on domestic tourism, we have plans to promote some destination events, drive some interest and awareness of Pacific Harbour and also give our local guests something to look forward to.”
