Damodar hosts Holi Fes­ti­val On Satur­day, March 11 – Damodar City in Suva was trans­formed into a sea of colours. Even the rain did not dampen the spirit of hun­dreds of peo­ple who turned out in num­bers to cel­e­brate the Holi fes­ti­val in Lau­cala Bay, Suva. Also known as fes­ti­val of colours, the even was or­gan­ised by Fiji Broad­cast­ing Cor­po­ra­tion and the Damodar Events group. Fes­ti­val or­gan­iser, Div Damodar says this will be­come an an­nual af­fair.

Torch Re­lay be­gins On March 15th, the torch re­lay for the Cokes Games sched­uled for Aprill 22-23 was launched at the Coca-Cola Fac­tory in Lau­cala Beach Es­tate. The torch will be run to 76 schools around the coun­try in 21 days be­fore re­turn­ing to the ANZ Sta­dium on April 22nd for the games. Nas­inu High School stu­dents started the re­lay which was lit by long­est serv­ing em­ployee of Coca-Cola Sein­im­ili Vakacegu who has worked there for 39-years.
