Fiji Mar­riott Re­sort Momi Bay Opens Throw­ing open its doors in time for Easter, Fiji Mar­riott Re­sort Momi Bay prove an­tic­i­pa­tion is worth the wait. Nes­tled in the pic­turesque Momi Bay, the five-star prop­erty boasts a pris­tine turquoise la­goon strung with 22 over-wa­ter bun­ga­lows, a first on Viti Levu. Though th­ese bu­res are ex­clu­sively for cou­ples, the re­sort of­fers myr­iad free­stand­ing vil­las and wa­ter-fac­ing rooms, some with con­nect­ing fea­tures, mak­ing them a perfect choice for groups and fam­i­lies. There’s a kids’ pool—a su­per­vised kids’ club too—plus a main swim­ming pool, and an adults only in­fin­ity pool that melts into the hori­zon. And for a dif­fer­ent per­spec­tive, the private beach of­fers scuba div­ing, snorkelling, and fish­ing tours. Un­less, of course, guests are more in­clined to sun­bathe or play a round of beach volleyball. Or prac­tice their ten­nis swings, per­haps re­lax in the spa, else­where in the re­sort. To match the plethora of ac­tiv­i­ties and wa­ter sports is a bounty of din­ing, in­clud­ing a café, a bak­ery, an ocean­front bar, and three restau­rants serv­ing ev­ery­thing from In­dian to Ital­ian cui­sine. All spots cham­pion lo­cal qual­ity pro­duce. And with a chapel, grand ball­room, and im­mac­u­lately land­scaped grounds, Mar­riott Momi Bay is poised to be­come the ul­ti­mate wed­ding and hon­ey­moon des­ti­na­tion of 2017. The re­sort was of­fi­cially opened by the Prime Min­is­ter of Fiji on the 8th of April.
