IS­LAND CHILL SUVA MARATHON

July 22 Suva’s very own marathon is fit for all ages and abil­i­ties. You are able to choose be­tween the full marathon, team marathon, half marathon and a fun run. The marathon be­gins at 5:30am.

BULA FES­TI­VAL

July 22 - July 29 Nadi The fes­ti­val will take place at Koroivulo Park and Prince Charles Park in Nadi. It is a week-long event with food stalls, en­ter­tain­ment, fun and games, baby show and many more. All pro­ceeds from the fes­ti­val will go to­wards char­i­ta­ble or­gan­i­sa­tions in Nadi.

THE AMAZ­ING WHEELBARROW RACE

July 29 It’s that time of year again, when you will see the strange sight­ing of grown men and women push­ing each other in wheel­bar­rows around Al­bert Park! But don’t be alarmed, these are par­tic­i­pants of the Frank Hil­ton Amaz­ing Wheelbarrow Race who are on their prac­tice runs. These in­di­vid­u­als from re­puted com­pa­nies such as Bluescope Lysaght, Vinod Pa­tel, Fortec Con­struc­tions Bri­tish Amer­i­can To­bacco, Sun In­sur­ance, BSP, and Har­courts Fiji to name a few are par­tic­i­pants of pos­si­bly one of the most in­no­va­tive and en­ter­tain­ing fundrais­ing ac­tiv­i­ties ever seen in Suva. 30 teams are ex­pected to par­tic­i­pate.

VODA­FONE FIJI HIBIS­CUS

Au­gust 11 - Au­gust 19 Suva Since its in­cep­tion in 1956, the Hibis­cus Fes­ti­val has grown into a 9-day event draw­ing large crowds. It is held an­nu­ally in the month of Au­gust to co­in­cide with the sec­ond term school break. Suva cit­i­zens rate it the ‘Mother of all Fes­ti­vals’.
