Housing issue

-

MY mind is baffled when I read one day that three two-bedroom houses built at Ballantine cost $660,000, inclusive of furniture, so being very generous and allowing $60,000 for that item, each house costs $200,000, that’s $2700/square metre.

The next day two houses are handed over in remote Bua, and cost, for both $180,000 or $1200/ square metre.

The “Ministry of Economy Construction Unit” should be asked to explain why there is such a massive price difference?
