Excitement – Exhibition is a “miniature Documenta” that reminds us of the singular personality of Rudi Fuchs, a highly influential curator and museum director whose work has marked the European scence since the 1970s. On show at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam through October 2, the show features abstract and figurative masterpeices from the collections of the Stedelijk but also the Van Abbemuseum (Eindhoven) and the Gemeentemuseum (The Hague). Fuchs spoke to Erik Verhagen about the show and about his career.
