The per­ma­nent tour: a voy­age of dis­cov­ery to the heart of wine cul­tures

Em­bark on an im­mer­sive, sen­sory ad­ven­ture to dis­cover the cul­tures and civil­i­sa­tions of wine. In an open ex­hi­bi­tion space oc­cu­py­ing more than 3,000 m², nearly twenty dif­fer­ent themed ar­eas in­vite you to take a voy­age and en­joy a unique ex­pe­ri­ence ex­plor­ing the many and var­ied facets of wine across time and space. A visit to the per­ma­nent tour also in­cludes the travel com­pan­ion, a free, in­no­va­tive tool avail­able in eight lan­guages and the ac­cess to La Cité du Vin’s Belvedere, where you will dis­cover a 360° view of Bordeaux whilst tast­ing a glass of world wine (50 ml). Av­er­age visit time: 2-3 hours – Fee 20€

A cel­e­bra­tion of bistros and cafés

The «Bistrot! From Baude­laire to Pi­casso» ex­hi­bi­tion is sched­uled from 17 March to 21 June at La Cité du Vin. Com­bin­ing tra­di­tional me­dia with pho­tog­ra­phy and cin­ema, the ex­hi­bi­tion cel­e­brates the liv­ing, fer­tile links be­tween the world of art and «café so­ci­ety» through more than a hun­dred works, of Pablo Pi­casso, Charles Baude­laire, Robert Dois­neau or Otto Dix. €8 (ex­hi­bi­tion only) or €24 in­clud­ing La Cité du Vin per­ma­nent ex­hi­bi­tion.

Ex­tend the visit to the bordeaux vine­yards

On the ground floor, “Bordeaux Wine routes” in­for­ma­tion cen­ter in­form and guide vis­i­tors wish­ing to get in­for­ma­tion and book tours and cir­cuits in the vine­yards. Note: a 90 me­ters pon­toon pro­vides di­rect ac­cess to the Garonne, for a de­par­ture by boat, and out­door spa­ces ded­i­cated al­low de­par­tures in buses and minibuses.
