In Bourg Tour the ancient village of Bourg
Go to the Bourg Tourist Office to collect your audio-guide and rent an electrical bike (practical for roaming the territory effortlessly). Good to know: guide maps in braille are also available. The tour starts in the upper town where you will find the Château de la Citadelle (and its “Age of Carriages” Museum, the Moorish villa and many art galleries. Route de la Corniche Fleurie by bicycle
From Bourg, take the D669-E1, the so-called “Route de la Corniche Fleurie”, which follows the coast of the Gironde Estuary. This charming itinerary reveals carrelet huts (traditional fishing nets of the Gironde Estuary), numerous troglodyte homes nestled in the limestone cliffs and incredible gardens where oleanders, palm trees and banana trees thrive.
