RECREATION Me­dia and Level 33 En­ter­tain­ment have jointly ac­quired all in­ter­na­tional rights to two horror thriller ti­tles, in­clud­ing The Suf­fer­ing di­rected by Robert Hamil­ton, and A De­mon Within, di­rected by Ayush Banker and Justin Lareau. The Suf­fer­ing stars Nick Apos­tolides, Re­gen Wil­son, Phil Amico and Chad Eric Smith and pre­miered at the Skyway Film Fes­ti­val in 2015 where it won the Au­di­ence Award. Break­ing Glass Pic­tures ac­quired do­mes­tic rights and will be re­leas­ing the film in July 2016. Di­rected by Ayush Banker and Justin Lareau, A De­mon Within stars Clint Glenn Hum­mel (Bat­tle Force), Pa­tri­cia Ash­ley (Hero of the Day) and Char­lene Amoia (How I Met Your Mother), in a movie that brings a fresh and new per­spec­tive on the pos­ses­sion­themed horror genre. In­spired by real events that date back to the 1870s, A de­mon within fol­lows a scep­ti­cal small town doc­tor try­ing to save the life of a teenage girl who has be­come pos­sessed in her fam­ily’s old house. He has to con­front his own per­sonal de­mons in the process. Recreation Pres­i­dent Ariel Veneziano said: “Blue Fox En­ter­tain­ment is an ex­cit­ing new com­pany, run by ex­pe­ri­enced ex­ec­u­tives with ex­cel­lent taste.
