DPA Gift Suite, a Cannes Highlight

Cannes Market News - - NEWS -

NATHALIE DUBOIS’ Cannes gifting suite has been awash with stars like Susan Sarandon and Cate Caplan. This year, three Carlton suites were filled with a range of products, with one suite dedicated to exquisitely wrapped Japanese products, from premium green teas to beautiful, untreated crocodile skin bags, from the Zann Group. Other highlights included some of the sexiest underwear on the market, from Dutch designer, Marlies Dekkers. Much favored by celebrities, Dekkers combines sexy materials and straps to create a sophisticated S&M look, and she has developed a luxurious swimwear line. Other designs we loved, included jewelery creations from the Mom & Pop label Libe & Lulle. Created on the kitchen table and sold online, the idea is simple and based around a silver rope of material that wraps around the wrist, and dangles across the back of the hand, culminating in a leaf and pearl design, and other motifs. There were both expensive and affordable designs available, like the beautiful candles in a glass, that sell for only ten euros, from Les Bougies des Charroux, or the popular Téo Jasmin bags, cushions and purses, featuring the French bulldog and his friend, Jasmine, the cat. For something more luxurious, new designers on show this year included the luxury sportswear shirt brand Leverdez, whose elegant but sporty shirts sell for around 400 Euros a piece. Swiss watch brand Charriol exhibited E6,000 watches as well as bracelets made from its signature twisted rope. Fashion designer Farah Kahn dressed stars from the suite. Perhaps most useful, Elixirs & Co. presented a series of Bach Flower Remedy products, using the essential flower remedies, that are perfect for getting through Cannes. The 2016 edition of the suite is dedicated to all victims of terrorism. LF
