Charming Bordeaux - - THE DISTRICTS OF BORDEAUX -

Originally peopled by workers in the wine industry, this semipedestrianised street has, little by little, seen the arrival of antique and bric-a-brac dealers and art galleries. At number 61 is Village Notre-dame, the largest antiques gallery in the South-west that is located in a former print works and brings together 35 professional antique dealers. The cafés’ terrasses spill fill the streets when the sun is out and for the Celebration of the New Wine with its bric-a-brac, roasted chestnuts, vin bourru (new wine), street shows and other festive events are on the programme each autumn.
