From the Saint-Seurin-sur-l'Isle in Gironde, near the bor­ders of Saint-Emil­ion. In­tense am­ber-col­ored robe. Nose of ripe red berries, black­cur­rant, goose­berry and black­berry with a slight hint of truf­fle and un­der­wood. The at­tack is suave and re­veals an am­ple struc­ture, en­hanced by smoky and woody notes that tran­scend into a nice com­plex­ity. Goes well with a burger and fries in duck grease, braised lamb with ceps, prime rib in Béar­naise sauce, Bordeaux-style ceps or stuffed egg­plant.
