My pal Benoît is a home-brewed beer freak. The only prob­lem is that he lives in a 27m2 apart­ment, which is a bit too cramped for set­ting up a still and all the nec­es­sary equip­ment. So at Christ­mas, I’m go­ing to give him a ses­sion in a beer brew­ing work­shop run by two friends from La Beer Fabrique. In a su­perb 150m2 ate­lier ren­o­vated by ar­chi­tect Anna Leymergie, par­tic­i­pants swap their pack of beer from the lo­cal store for an In­dian pale ale, brewed up in a four-hour class. Just think! Beer flavoured with a dash of co­rian­der, bit­ter orange peel and honey… What’s more, he’ll leave with 15 litres of this beer of ours. We can even stick our own la­bels on the bot­tles!
