Al­though she grew up in Madrid, Esper­anza Moya left home to study photography in Barcelona. For her, tak­ing pho­tos is a means of es­cap­ing from real­ity and of cre­at­ing her own uni­verse. Élodie was raised in the Bur­gundy coun­try­side, where she stud­ied graphic de­sign, be­fore mov­ing to Paris, to at­tend the Go­belins school. She then turned her at­ten­tion to photography. She en­joys set­ting the scene for the por­traits she takes and show­ing the results of these fleet­ing en­coun­ters. Fas­ci­nated by in­ti­mate places and what goes on back­stage, she ex­plored Jac­ques Prévert’s for­mer home for us: page 48.
