Spotted last September at the Maison & Objet trade fair, the “Wood Mini+” cot/bed is made for children from birth up to age nine. Truly ingenious, it was designed by the Danish brand, Oliver Furniture and is available via Smallable.

Three-in-one... with a big plus

Fromababy’sfirstcot(L.126cm with three height settings), “Wood Mini+” converts into a small junior bed (L.126 cm with or without a backrest or bed guard) and later, as the child grows, a junior bed (L.166 cm with or without a backrest or bed guard). After nigh on ten years of faithful service as a bed, “Wood Mini+” may be converted into a small living room sofa.

It is also possible to transform the “Wood Mini+” into a low loft bed, simply by ordering the complementary conversion kit. The child will have a cosy space under the bunk to play in and a bed not too high off the floor to ensure he or she feels safe.

Aesthetic sustainability

All Oliver Furniture is designed in-house by the same person, Soren Rorbaek, whose goal is to produce ethical furniture that lasts and can be handed down from one generation to the next. “Wood Mini+” is no exception to the rule. Designed and manufactured in Europe from solid FSC-certified oak and birch, it conforms to strict EU norms for security and health. oliverfurniture.com smallable.com
