Château de Candale 2012

Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

-

The nose is aromatic and offers elegance as well as a fine complexity. It reveals notes of fleshy Boysenberry and fine notes of cassis combined with a hint of ripe red berries, a subtle hint of black cherry, a discreet hint of Bourbon vanilla as well as a subtle hint of flowers and an imperceptible touch of caramelization. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a nice definition, a beautiful juiciness, an acid frame, a good guideline, a fine freshness as well as a silky matter and elegance. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, fresh strawberry and fine notes of juicy berries associated with touches of ripe black cherry, a very discreet touch of blueberry, mint, touches of vanilla, a discreet toasted touch as well as a subtle touch of clove and mocha. Tannins are elegant and very slightly firm. There is an imperceptible touch of gray pepper on the finish. There is a discreet hint of cocoa on the aftertaste.
