Petzl’s line of harnesses has undergone some fantastic changes. While some of the wellknown names remain the same, several important details have been redesigned. The new Aquila harness, with its very sober look, is a versatile harness that works well for “highlydemanding” sport climbing and mountaineering. The leg loops are adjustable, allowing the climber to wear pants of different thicknesses without a problem. This does not make the harness at all heavy or burdensome: the DoubleBack HD buckles are low-profile and easy to use thanks to their curved design. FuseFrame construction provides for a thin, lightweight, and comfortable harness, with no cross seams or noticeable pressure points. The tie-in points are made with Dyneema to increase longevity and durability.
