This dic­tionary, first re­leased in 1976, has been up­dated ev­ery four to eight years. “Emoji”, “twerk”, “beat­down,” and the long-awaited two-let­ter word “OK” are some new words you can now use. beware be care­ful / to add here, to in­clude / to re­lease to pub­lish / to up­date to bring up to date, mod­ernise, re­new / emoji emoti­con / twerk dance that is overtly sex­ual (com­bi­na­tion of twist and jerk) / beat­down over­whelm­ing de­feat.
