For the 30th anniversary of the publication of the children’s book Matilda, Quentin Blake – who illustrated the original book – revealed a series of drawings that reimagine Roald Dahl’s beloved character Matilda as an adult. In five new images, the illustrator depicts a 30-year-old Matilda as a poet laureate, an astrophysicist, a special FX artist, a “world traveller”, and the CEO of the British Library! Three of these drawings will appear this month on the covers of special collectors’ editions published by Penguin Random House. Ma

tilda has been one of Roald Dahl’s bestselling books since it was published in 1988, with 17 million copies sold worldwide.
