Elon Musk has unveiled his ambitious plans for a new spacecraft codenamed “BFR” (for “Big Fucking Rocket”). Speaking at a congress in Australia, the South African-born entrepreneur said the rocket would enable his SpaceX company to start sending people to Mars by 2024. He also claimed that it would allow to travel anywhere on Earth in under an hour. A London-New York journey would only take 29 minutes for example. “Cost per seat should be about the same as full fare economy in an aircraft,” he said on Instagram.
