England’s newest mountain is 610.1m high. Miller Moss, a hill in the Lake District previously thought to be 609m high, was measured by independent surveyors John Barnard and Graham Jackson, who found out it was above the official mountain threshold of 609.6m. Britain’s mapping agency will amend the maps accordingly, and Miller Moss will be included in The Mountains of England and Wales.
