VOGUE Hommes International (English) - - DIARY -

A double whammy. Having blithely exceeded one million visitors at its exhibition of the Shchukin Collection ( which was admittedly astounding ) the Fondation Louis Vuitton is now preparing a new artistic blockbuster. Being Modern will cover a selection of 200 works from the MoMA collections in New York. Founded in 1929, New York’s Museum of Modern Art was one of the first institutions to be devoted exclusively to contemporary art and to capitalise on the avant–garde. Over the years, the MoMA has built up one of the largest collections of artworks in the world, alongside the Pompidou Centre in Paris and the Tate in London. The exhibition, featuring legendary names such Edward Hopper, Walker Evans, Pablo Picasso, Jackson Pollock, Andy Warhol, Diane Arbus, Jasper Johns and Willem

de Kooning is poised to go down in history. FONDATION LOUIS–VUITTON ( Paris ), from 11 October 2017 to 5 March 2018
