Where Paris - - Shopping - By Kyra Brenzinger

For the past year, the famous Japanese jewellery brand Tasaki, founded in 1954, has set up a high-end boutique in the heart of the Ritz Paris hotel and exclusively unveils its unique creations during Couture Week in Paris. Available on an exclusive basis, the Tasaki brand offers a fine jewellery collection entitled “RITZ PARIS par TASAKI”, the product of the meeting of the two jewellery and luxury hotel legends. Tasaki wanted to create a collection combining tradition and the avantgarde, elegance and innovation. The first edition, entitled “A legend” is inspired by the spirit of the famous Place Vendôme, a symbol of French luxury and elegance. The second collection pays tribute to couture and artisan craftsmanship, for which Paris is famous. Particularly modern, an open choker evokes an openwork neck adorned with bright diamonds, while a necklace is inspired by the brilliant flowers of the famous Ritz garden. When the jewellery expertise of the Tasaki ateliers meets French luxury, the result is an exceptional collection: the taste for balance is mastered in the “Rêve Ritz” piece, the refinement of detail in the “Jardin Secret” piece or the panache in the feather-shaped “The Quintessence of Ritz Paris” necklace.

The brand also unveils its collection of watches in its boutique, featuring the Akoya Japanese pearl, which has helped build the reputation of Tasaki as the world’s leading producer. The “Cluster” cuff link is adorned with pearls, combined with sublime morganites in a pyramid-shaped cut. Gold elements with delicate pinkish hues are named Sakuragold (TM) in tribute to the famous Japanese cherry blossoms.

The particularly seductive “Serpentine” watch with a repetition of links evokes the rings of a snake. Recalling the privileged status of Tasaki collaborating exclusively and directly with the De Beers diamond group, this piece radiates what seems like a thousand lights in either a yellow gold or white gold version. The “Refined Rebellion” watch, which leans toward a more classic look, is nevertheless the result of a very subtle colour scheme of pink or blue sapphires. The all-diamond version renders a hypnotic effect, drawing one’s gaze to the mother-ofpearl dial and the diamond-shaped tip adorning the crown of the watch. An original collection for lovers of exclusive designs.

Available at Le Bon Marché, the Tasaki brand exclusively offers its brand-new M/G Tasaki collection in the iconic department store on the left bank. Created in collaboration with the French-Greek designer Mélanie Georgacopoulos, this collection is particularly bold, allowing one to discover the very heart of the pearl in different creations. The Sliced necklace, cut in two or a ring, adorned with a clever composition of split pearls, encourages one to discover the magic of the nature of a pearl, composed of multiple layers of mother-ofpearl. Whether through its prestigious jewellery of the “RITZ PARIS par TASAKI” line or its ready-towear “M/G TASAKI” lines, the Tasaki brand lends a visionary style to pearls and jewels.
