Thierry Jadot arrived in China to teach in 1987 and travelled throughout the country and during his tenure there encountered the Chinese people and the country’s diverse, immense landscapes. The photographs, both black and white and in colour, are marked by their candour and spontaneity taken in this China that through the policies of Deng Xiaoping was opening up economically as well.
