Dinner with Friends

Where Paris - - Dining -

Friends & Family by name, friends and family by nature. This recently opened restaurant sees two childhood friends embark on quite the culinary adventure along with 50 of their closest friends and family. Focusing on serving good food with a welcome smile, Friends & Family feels like dining at a friend’s home with a cosy décor, a not too fussy attitude and generous servings. In the kitchen chef Elodie Jego is inspired by each season’s offerings with the menu changing every month with a culinary celebration of each new season. The current menu sees a risotto-style fregola pasta dish tossed in with wild mushrooms, sea bass delicately topped with a celery mousseline and a red wine sauce, while vegetarians are treated to off-menu options that Jego creates with the season’s offerings, which could include a medley of pan-tossed vegetables beautifully presented on a bed of hummus and seasoned with herbs and spices. Before settling the bill make sure you leave room for the house’s standout dessert, the French toast-style brioche served in a wickedly delicious pool of homemade salted caramel sauce. With a 3- course meal sitting at a modest 33€ this restaurant is very popular, so make sure you call ahead. - S.I. Friends & Family 18 Cité Bergère (9th), 01 45 23 33 33
