Head barman Axel Amasse has turned to the world for different inspirations for his cocktails for Shake n’ Smash, the cocktail bar in the very trendy 3rd arrondissement. Using different spirits and spices from around the world, Amasse’s cocktail menu is fun to read and very easy to drink. The Canadian Lumberjack is a sweet and spicy mix of rye whisky, earl grey tea, maple syrup and ginger while the Salut Tu Suze is a refreshing mix of gin, Suze, lime and Thai basil. The cocktails can be enjoyed in the main room or in the recently opened Cabinet of Curiosities with a décor inspired by the travels of Phileas Fogg in Around the World in Eighty Days. The bar is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 6pm and also organises workshops for 4 to 14 people so you can learn how to mix your own drinks.
