A LETTER FROM THE EDITOR
He is talented, epitomises French fashion and is very, very Parisian and in our latest issue we meet with fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier who proves his talents know no bounds as he brings to the City of Light his very own cabaret. The French designer shares with us his inspirations, his Paris and why he named his theatrical show Fashion Freak Show. This month marks the season of the arts and the French capital is welcoming not just one major event but two fairs that avid art collectors will not want to miss. FIAC, the International Contemporary Art Fair, will be held for the 45th time and will bring together 193 different galleries from 27 countries. Meanwhile, the Art Elysées - Art & Design show will be bringing together 88 French and international galleries. Fashion and Paris go hand in hand and in our Fashion Squared photo shoot we showcase tartan, this season’s hottest trend, inspiring you to get out there and embrace the grunge-favoured print. And where better to wear the latest fashions than in the city’s new eateries. Turn to our Dining pages to discover where to enjoy the best French fare, flavoursome Brazilian Japanese fusion tapas and where to indulge in high tea, the vegan way. Meanwhile, in our Entertainment section you will find a round up of bars, operas, sexy cabarets and some great ideas on how to celebrate Halloween. We hope you enjoy this issue and your stay in Paris.
