A Happy Harvest

The scenic vine­yard of Mont­martre is de­light­fully tucked away on the slope of a Parisian hill­side, the 130-me­tre high Butte Mont­martre. Its 1726 vine plants pro­duce 1000 bot­tles of Clos Mont­martre wine each year and the an­nual and fun-filled wine harvest festival of Mont­martre is be­ing held for the 85th time this year. For this harvest, peace will be cel­e­brated with po­ets, mu­si­cians, dancers, singers, philoso­phers and as­so­ci­a­tions all bring­ing their mes­sages of peace to the event. Some 150 events are on the agenda in Mont­martre and through­out the 18th ar­rondisse­ment with the great and spec­tac­u­lar pro­ces­sion of the broth­er­hoods headed up by the harvest queen kick­ing off from the vine­yard on Oc­to­ber 13th at 11:45 am.
