They are two of the most pop­u­lar car­toon char­ac­ters in France, and the world, and the leg­endary duo Astérix and Obe­lix are now wait­ing for you at Parc Astérix with a cock­tail in hand. The amuse­ment park, built to re­sem­ble a Gal­lic vil­lage is where you can dis­cover 6 ex­otic worlds, 45 rides and the newly in­au­gu­rated Aero­laf bar. Lo­cated in the Vik­ing “world” of the park, the bar ac­com­mo­dates 16 at a time and of­fers a breath­tak­ing view of the park and its sur­round­ings. The unique bar lets you en­joy cock­tails, mock­tails and beer on tap 35 me­tres above ground where for 10 min­utes you can take in the view and take a breather be­tween the thrill-seek­ing rides. The bar is open from 11.30am un­til the clos­ing of the park and is a fun way to punc­tu­ate your time in an al­ready fun-filled day in an amuse­ment park. - S.I. There are di­rect shut­tles to the park avail­able from the Lou­vre in front of the Palais Royal metro sta­tion (99 rue de Rivoli, 1st), al­ter­na­tively you could take the RER B train to Charles de Gaulle air­port ter­mi­nal 1 then take the Parc Astérix shut­tle from plat­form A3.
