THE SITUATION

Caroline Pierron, a French designer, and her German business partner, Steffi Kohl, run a company together in Paris that produces highquality scarves for the younger female market. Until now, they have sold their products exclusively in France, but they were approached recently by a British distributor who is interested in selling their scarves in the UK. They have been invited to meet the CEO, Joe Hall, and the director of purchasing, Amy Patel, in London to discuss a deal.
