Jesse, Jay, Avery and Craig
I can’t think of a better place for us to raise our kids than San Francisco, a community so diverse that we have never felt out of place or different as a gay family. Our children can count among their peers with really varied family structures – one dad, two dads, one mom, two moms, traditional families with a mom and dad, grandparents raising grandchildren and even two moms and two dads. From the first week we moved here 12 years ago, San Francisco has felt like home. As much as any place can, it inspires us to live openly and proudly, and with compassion for others.
