Berlin’s adventurous side: shed your inhibitions and hang on for the ride!

v BY HILDA HOY

Yes, literally. Luxury lifestyle guide Henrik Tidefjärd of Berlinagenten organizes tours to private homes across the city to show you how real Berliners live. Berliner artists, that is. Every tour is different and depends on who’s in town that day, but all of them include visits to three quirky apartments reflecting the spirit of their respective neighborhoods. A possible combination might include a Kreuzberg painter living in a old-fashioned Altbau building, an experimental photographer’s grandiose apartment on the Stalin-era Karl-MarxAllee boulevard, or an art collector’s luxurious contemporary penthouse in Schöneberg’s gay village. Curious visitors will also have the chance to peek into their hosts’ drawers and to have a chat with the artist.
