La Dolce Vita

Where Berlin - - Dining -

It’s no secret that the Italians have a fine eye for the beautiful things in life. No surprise, then, that at Salumeria Lamuri, a breakfast and lunch spot in Kreuzberg, the stunning interior makes as strong an impression as the Italian cuisine. Run by the same culinary team behind the delectable restaurant Da Baffi in the Wedding district, Salumeria Lamuri still retains the features of the location’s past lives. Beautiful antique tiles adorn the floors and walls, and classic murals reach up to the high ceilings. Charming vintage wooden furniture completes the scene. Customers begin gathering in the morning hours for a breakfast of flaky pastries and fresh panini sandwiches, served – of course – with great cappuccino. For lunch, a menu of daily specials includes things like salads with fresh, creamy burrata cheese, soups, creative homemade pastas, and meat and fish dishes. If it’s a late-afternoon break you’re craving, stop by for a glass of wine and some antipasti. Or take the deliciousness home – the walls are lined with fine Italian vintages and other delicacies. Köpenicker Str. 183. T: 0175 7003419. www. salumerialamuri.de
