Animal Farm

Where Berlin - - SIGHTSEEING -

Where does our food come from? Domäne Dahlem, an 800-year- old piece of agricultural paradise in a pastoral corner of Berlin, is a functioning farm (they call themselves an openair museum) dedicated to giving both kids and grown-ups a peek into living off the land. Admire the restored, 1500s manor house and the charming old stables, say hello to all the animals, admire their veggie garden, or watch live demonstrations of traditional skills like blacksmithing and textile weaving. On 20 and 21 September, it’s time to celebrate the good ole wholesome potato! Harvest your own, dig into a steaming spud fresh from the fire, or enjoy the fun stage performances and organic markets featuring every imaginable potato shape and color.
