Dashing Through The Snow

Where Berlin - - SIGHTSEEING -

Imagine there’s been a big dumping of snow overnight, and you wake up to a transformed city covered in beautiful white, fluffy snow. If you have kids (or even if you don’t), now is the time to go tobogganing! Even in this rather flat city, there are thrilling downhill rides to be had. For example, at Onkel-Tom-Straße (U Onkel-Toms- Hütte), Volkspark Prenzlauer Berg (S Landsberger Allee), Fichtenberg (S Botanischer Garten), Volkspark Friedrichshain (U Senefelder Platz), or more centrally located at FritzSchloß and Carl-von- Ossietzky parks (S+U Hauptbahnhof). Now, you probably didn’t bring a sled with you, but no need to rush out and buy one. If you don’t feel like taking the improvised daredevil approaches, go for the safer bet and rent one from Fahrradstation outlets (www. schlittenvermietung.de) where they make a small donation on your behalf with each rental. An exhilarating way to keep warm!
