A Night To Remember

“Dress code is elegant, glamorous, original,” said the invitation. Hilda Hoy raided her closet to attend Salon K Privé, an unforgettable night of performances and champagne.

An unforgettable and mysterious night of performances and everflowing champagne at Salon K Privé.

Imagine this scene: you arrive at a turn-of-the-century building tucked away in Berlin’s west end, following the mysterious address you received by email just yesterday. An imposing figure in bondage gear and towering stiletto boots directs you to the creaking, ancient elevator with the words, “Fourth floor.” Upstairs, the scent of incense wafts over the threshold to a grandiose private apartment. As your smiling hostess greets you, it’s best to leave your inhibitions here at the door along with your coat, for this will be a night to remember. Welcome to Salon K Privé. What awaits is an evening somewhere between cabaret and circus, performance art and concert, dinner party and adventure. It’s impossible to say what will be more memorable: the elegant atmosphere charged with seduction and mystery, styled after the decadent salons of the 1920s, or the top-notch performers, which include veterans of Cirque du Soleil, dancers from some of the most renowned ballet and modern dance companies in the world, actors, singers, and acrobats. The question is: are you ready to give yourself over to the unexpected? Sip the flute of champagne handed to you by a man in a tuxedo and top hat and the answer is, of course, yes. Born out of a desire to move the performer off the distant, impersonal stage and into an intimate atmosphere, Salon K Privé evenings envelop their audience in mystery, song, poetry, costumes and ever-flowing champagne. Performances are interspersed with interludes for rounds of playful, tantalizing food and drink and the chance to mingle with the other guests, though in a sense, every moment and every interaction of the evening is part of the performance, each attendee a part of the show. What role will you play? Only one way to find out.
